Joyful, Healthy Living After Breast Cancer” at St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute in Boise, Idaho

BOISE 2

On October 1, 2013, in the Steuckle Sky Center, Boise State University’s Bronco Stadium, breast cancer survivors, healthcare providers and advocates came together to focus on the opportunities for joy and health after breast cancer diagnosis. Breast cancer survivors and their families from the “Treasure Valley” area, were treated to presentations on the evidence-based lifestyle that has been proven to reduce cancer incidence and recurrence and improve overall health.  The keynote was Barbara Unell, Founder and President of Back in the Swing, who shared the five fundamentals of a Back in the Swing Lifestyle featured in The Back in the Swing Cookbook.   Attendees also enjoyed delicious and nutritious recipes from The Back in the Swing Cookbook and the opportunity to network with local providers and community organizations that offer healthy lifestyle programming for breast cancer survivors.
